Dan Wagner

Dan is one of the world's leading internet entrepreneurs. He started business by founding MAID (Marketing Analysis and Information Database), the world leader in online information services licensing, aggregation and syndication.

By acquiring Dialog, he turned MAID into a profitable market leader, going on to broker pioneering deals with Fujitsu, IBM, Microsoft, Netscape, Nokia, British Telecom, Alta Vista and AOL.

In 2007, Dan formed a partnership with Shaa Wasmund to launch Bright Station Ventures, a unique investment vehicle with $100 million of capital.

Andre Brown

Andre Brown is also principal of Bright Station Ventures. His collaboration with Dan Wagner began in 1992 when he introduced Adobe into the UK market.

Since then he's been at the cutting edge of content management and ecommerce technology, licensing MAID's software and content to the likes of Copyserve, AOL, BT and NatWest.

In 2000, he developed MAID's ecommerce subdivision, Dialogue and two years later co-founded search and content management technology solutions business, Locayta. Most recently, he co-founded pro-social mentoring website, HorsesMouth.

James Cronin

James is a technologist who has worked as developer, systems administrator, technical director or CTO of top UK ISPs, service providers and media companies including BBC News Interactive and Virgin.Net.

As well as Bright Station, he is also Executive Director, Chief Information Officer and co-founder of leading e-commerce software service company, Venda, which evolved out of the revolutionary boo.com.

He is also an e-democracy pioneer, co-founding projects like FaxYourMP, mysociety, and TheyWorkForYou, Open Rights Group and The Flirble Organisation as well as serving on the board of directors for charities like UKCOD, mySociety Ltd and No2ID campaign.
